Leopard 45 Yacht Delivery – Raiatea Across the Pacific
The Leopard 45 remains one of the most popular cruising catamarans operating throughout the Pacific, with many vessels spending time in both private ownership and charter fleets.
This Leopard 45 was an ex-charter yacht collected in Raiatea, French Polynesia before commencing a westbound Pacific delivery. As with many former charter vessels, additional attention was given to preparation, onboard systems and equipment before departure. We have delivered several Leopards from Polynesia. Former charter catamarans often require a more detailed inspection before departing on an extended offshore passage. Safety equipment, rigging, sail condition, steering systems and machinery are all checked carefully, with any deficiencies addressed before committing to a multi-week ocean crossing.
Our experience delivering Leopard catamarans throughout the Pacific includes owner relocations, newly purchased vessels and ex-charter yachts transitioning into private ownership. Each delivery is managed with an emphasis on vessel preparation, conservative offshore decision-making and delivering the yacht ready for its next stage of cruising.
Long-distance Pacific deliveries demand careful planning, realistic weather routing and a vessel capable of comfortably covering significant offshore miles. The Leopard 45 continues to prove itself as a practical and capable platform for this style of cruising.
