At Yacht Delivery Solutions, we have extensive experience delivering displacement and semi-displacement motor yachts throughout Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Every delivery is planned around weather routing, fuel management, customs requirements and the operational limitations of the vessel.
Before departure, we carry out a thorough inspection of the yacht, identify any maintenance items that could affect the voyage and discuss them with the owner. During the passage, the yacht is operated conservatively, with regular engine room inspections, machinery checks and detailed log keeping. Our objective is to deliver the vessel safely while minimising unnecessary wear.
The GranOcean W60 was launched and commissioned by our team in Hong Kong before commencing its delivery voyage through Asia. Projects such as this involve far more than simply moving the boat from one location to another, with commissioning, system testing and sea trials forming a key part of the process.
Following launch, we worked through the vessel’s systems and operational checks before departing on the delivery. This approach allows issues to be identified and resolved early, ensuring the yacht is properly prepared for offshore operation.
On arrival, the yacht is washed down, systems are checked and the owner receives a comprehensive handover together with a written report covering the voyage, engine hours, fuel consumption and any maintenance recommendations identified during the delivery.
Commissioning and delivering a new catamaran provides valuable familiarity with the vessel from day one and remains one of the most rewarding aspects of professional yacht delivery work.
