Diesel Duck yachts occupy a specialised part of the delivery market. Designed for extended offshore operation and serious passagemaking, these vessels are often relocated over substantial distances between cruising regions rather than undertaking short coastal movements. Owners frequently engage a professional delivery skipper when moving a vessel between Asia, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii or the Americas.
Unlike many yachts that remain within a single cruising area, expedition-style motor yachts are often repositioned to entirely different regions as owner plans change. A yacht may spend one season in Southeast Asia, the next in the South Pacific and later continue on toward North America or beyond.
Professional yacht delivery allows owners to relocate the vessel without committing the considerable time required for these passages themselves. Our role is to take responsibility for the yacht, manage the relocation and deliver it ready for the owner’s next stage of cruising.
